If you have already installed an earlier version of
Sourcery G++ Lite for ARM GNU/Linux on your system, it is not necessary
to uninstall it before using the installer to unpack a new version
in the same location. The installer detects that it is performing an
update in that case.

If you are installing an update from a compressed archive, it is
recommended that you remove any previous installation in the same
location, or install in a different directory.

Note that the names of the Sourcery G++ commands for the
ARM GNU/Linux target all begin with
arm-none-linux-gnueabi
.
This means that you can install Sourcery G++ for multiple
target systems in the same directory without conflicts.
