| These functions compute the complex arc tangent of <var>z</var>, |
| with branch cuts outside the interval [-i, +i] along the |
| imaginary axis. |

| <p><code>catanf</code> is identical to <code>catan</code>, except that it performs |
| its calculations on <code>floats complex</code>. |
